"Being able to help people understand the complex relationship between what they eat and how they think, feel, and interact with the world, can be very empowering. Part of my job is to inspire people to think in terms of holistic health. Go beyond the standard "medical model" framework for treating symptoms. My hope is to give people safe and effective evidence based holistic approaches for mind wellness. Should we settle for putting a band-aid on it? Or do we owe it to ourselves to achieve optimal mental wellness?"
"I believe that there is nothing more important in life than cultivating healthy relationships with ourselves. My greatest passion is helping individuals to reclaim and reconnect with the lost parts of themselves, wake up to their full potential, and live a more authentic and empowered life.
I am a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) with an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health from Oakland University.
My passion for therapy and helping others developed from my personal experience with an eating disorder and body dysmorphia. Through my own dance of self-discovery and self-compassion, I have gained wisdom and a genuine ability to connect deeper with others. As a therapist, I am here to guide and support you to come back home to who you truly are.
In addition to eating disorders and self-esteem, I specialize in anxiety, depression, panic attacks, stress management, and more. My therapeutic approach is predominantly humanistic and mindfulness-based, but I tailor my approach accordingly to meet each client where they are. Together we discover what tools work best to empower you on your healing journey.
No matter what you’re experiencing in your life at the moment, and no matter how you’re feeling, I am here to remind you that you don’t have to carry it all on your own. I’m here to support you to move through this transition so that you can move forward fully."
